Terms of Service

Last updated November 7, 2026

1. Who these terms are with

The Fly Bench (theflybench.com) is run by SienarLabs, LLC. “We” and “us” mean SienarLabs, LLC. By using the site, you agree to these terms.

2. The site

The Fly Bench is a free library of fly tying patterns: recipes, materials, photos, tying videos and links to shops. You don’t need an account to use it.

3. Using the patterns

Tie whatever you find here, for yourself, your friends or your fly box. Please don’t copy the site’s content in bulk, republish it as your own, or scrape it in a way that puts a load on the site.

4. Ownership

The Fly Bench name, logo, site design, code and the way patterns are written up and organized belong to SienarLabs, LLC. Fly patterns are often the work of the tiers who created them, and we credit originators where we know them. Photos and videos from other creators remain theirs.

If you think something on the site uses your work without permission, write to support@sienarlabs.com and we’ll look at it promptly.

5. Links and embedded content

The site links to fly shops and other websites and shows videos hosted by YouTube. Those sites and services are run by others, under their own terms and privacy policies. We don’t control them and aren’t responsible for their content, products, prices or availability. Any purchase you make is between you and that shop.

6. Privacy

What we collect and how to turn analytics off is described in our Privacy Policy.

7. No warranty and limits on liability

The Fly Bench is provided “as is.” We work to keep recipes accurate and the site running, but we can’t promise it will be error-free or always available. Fly fishing and fly tying involve hooks, tools and the outdoors, so use your own judgment.

To the extent the law where you live allows, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, and our total liability to you will not exceed US$50.

8. Changes to these terms

If these terms change, the new version goes on this page with a new date at the top. If you keep using The Fly Bench after a change, the new terms apply.
