Tying Instruction : 1) Tie on thread at hook eye. 2) Tie on lead eyes 1/4 shank length from hook eye. 3) Work thread back to bend in hook and tie on copper flashabou tail. Tail should be short about 1 hook shank length. 4) Tie on crystal chenille and work thread back to lead eyes. 5) Wrap body of crystal chenille up until just before lead eyes and make 1 thread wrap to hold in place. 6) Flip hook over and tie on lower wing of gold crystal flash. The wing should extend well beyond the tail. 7) Tie in upper wing of flashabou, which also should extend beyond the tail. 8) Advance thread in front of lead eyes. 9) Wrap the rest of the crystal chenille body, making X wraps around the lead eyes. 10) Tie off and whip finish head. |
