Tying Instruction : 1) Tie on thread near bend of hook. Tie on ultra-hair tail so it is angled slightly downward. 2) Tie in 6 latex legs. 3) Tie on ginger hackle and wrap a smooth thread body back to hook eye. 4) Palmer the body with the ginger hackle and cut off the hackle fibers on the top of the hook. 5) Tie in six to eight strands of orange crystal flash. 6) Tie in a bunch of ultra-hair and leave some hanging over the hook eye as a tail. 7) Tie off thread. 8) Lift the ultra-hair that is over the top of the body. Put a layer of five minute epoxy over the body of the fly and crystal flash. Let the ultra-hair back down onto the epoxy before it dries and add a little more epoxy to the top of the ultra-hair. Pull up on the ultra-hair to form the body shape as the epoxy dries. 9) Once the epoxy is dry, trim the ultra-hair to the shape of a shrimp. |
