Tying Instruction : 1) Wrap thread to just above the barb. 2) Tie in tinsel and make 5 wraps. 3) Tie off but don't cut. 4) Tie in maribou and wrap forward to head then back to tag to build up body. 5) Tie in herl and make a butt. 6) Tie in floss and wrap forward to head, back to butt and back to head. Tie off. 7) Make 6 turns with tinsel and tie off. 8) Put a stack of squirrel tail on and make 5 tight turns. 9) Trim and put a drop of head cement on ends put on 4 peacock swords and wrap tightly to eye and back. 10) Tie in hen hackle and make three turns. 11) Form head and coat with black head cement Note : The past couple years I've had a lot of luck with it on the Salmon River in NY fishing for Chinook Salmon. I Think it would also work well on streams with a native brook trout population. |
