Tying Instruction : 1) Slip bead head on hook and apply thread base in the usual manner. 2) Tie in a clump of fur for the tail. 3) Dub the body with a dubbing-loop, finishing behind the bead head. 4) Whip-finish. Note : 1) Zonker strips are a good source of rabbit fur. Because they come in a variety of dyed colors, you have many options. Chartreuse and yellow are great for panfish and bass. I use darker colors for trout. 2) Use a kitchen Mini-Chopper to make rabbit dubbing from ½-inch pieces of fur. 3) A dubbing-loop is suggested because it results in a bushier appearance. |
