Hook : Daiichi 1560 # 16 - 18
Thread : Uni-Thread 8/0 Black
Tail : Hungarian Partridge Dark Brown
Rib : Fine Gold Wire
Abdomen : Rabbit Dubbing Dark Brown
Wing Case : Scud Back Black
Thorax : Rabbit Dubbing Dark Brown
Legs : Hungarian Partridge Dark Brown

Tying Instruction :

1) Tie in behind eye and lay down a base of thread to the hook bend.
2) Tie in tails with 2-3 wraps of thread.
3) Tie on wire along the side of the hook to make flat abdomen .
4) Dub abdomen and wrap about 3/5 up into thorax area.
5) Wrap wire forward to make 5-6 ribs, tie off wire.
6) Tie in Scud Back for wing case.
7) Dub thorax - bulky enough to emphasize the bulging wing case, but not too bulky!
8) Tie in legs at head on each side of the hook.
9) Pull wing case over thorax and tie a neat head.


Note :

Fish this pattern dead drift before and during a sulfur hatch in pockets and runs. The tails and legs will eventually break off, but the fish don't seem to mind.
