BWO CDC EMERGER
Hook : Daiichi 1130 # 16 - 24
Thread : Uni-Thread 8/0 Tan
Tail : Poly Wing Material Amber
Rib : Fine Wire Silver
Body : Dryfly Dubbing Olive
Wing : CDC (Cul-De-Canard) Olive
Wing Case : CDC (Cul-De-Canard) Olive

Fly Tier: Dr. Jeffery R. Balison

Tying Instruction :

1) Tie on thread near hook eye and wrap back towards bend of hook.
2) Tie on tail.
3) Tie on ribbing material.
4) Dub a slender body and rib with tinsel.
5) Tie on CDC for wingcase.
6) Dub bulbous thorax.
7) Pull CDC over thorax for wingcase and Tie off CDC wing facing forward.
8) Whip finish head.

Note :

This fly floats in the surface film nicely with the weight of the hook and the rib
dragging the tail and abdomen just beneath the surface, imitating an emerger
trapped in the surface film.

One can clip off the CDC wing streamside, and the fly becomes a good soft
hackle nymph.
