RUSTY SPINNER WITH EGGS (HENDRICKSON)
Hook : Daiichi 1180 # 12 - 16
Thread : Uni-Thread 8/0 White
Tail : Microfibbits Dun
Egg Sack : Dryfly Dubbing Yellow
Body : Dryfly Dubbing Rusty Spinner
Wing : Web Wing White
Thorax : Dryfly Dubbing Rusty Spinner

Fly Tier: Neil Houlding

Tying Instruction :

1) Fold a small piece of Shimakazi wing material in half. Place a piece of paper between the fold and place in a wing burner. After you have burnt the wings the paper will make it easier to unfold the wings. You should now have a pair of wings that open like a book.
2) Tie on thread near hook bend and dub a small ball of yellow dubbing.
3) Tie on 2 micro fibits for the tail and divide then over the dubbing ball.
4) Dub a thin body of rut colored dubbing.
5) Tie on wings using an X wrap.
6) Wrap thorax with rusty dubbing.
7) Whip finish a neat head.

Note :

Coat the wings of this fly with a silicon floatant (Clear Fly) and it will float very well. The fly however is impossible to see on the water. I add a small piece of strike putty (or very small strike indicator) 3-4 feet from the fly. Pay close attention to the strike indicator, trout will take this fly submerged.
