Hi! My name is Andy Cooper. I based this page on my passion and love for fly tying. My intent is to build a large, easy-to-use, interactive database of fly patterns. This web site will change very quickly over the next few months with feedback from readers like you.

How to contribute a fly:
This web page relies on flies contributed from readers like you. It doesn't matter whether you're an amateur or professional; your help in adding flies to the database is greatly appreciated.

To become a contributor, follow a few simple steps:
• First, check the database to make sure that the fly you'd like to contribute isn't already there. This can be done by typing in the fly's name in the search box on the Home page. I will accept any fly that is not currently in the database. Don't feel that you have to have an original pattern; I will take classic flies, variations on common patterns and originals, anything goes.
• Next, send in your best example of the pattern you're contributing, along with a pattern sheet. You can download a (text file) pattern sheet from this page or print out a copy. The more information you provide, the more complete the fly database will be.
• If you're a professional fly tier, guide or storeowner, please include store/business name, web-site, e-mail or any other pertinent information that you would like to appear with your fly. Advertising is free and will appear with every fly that you submit.
• Finally, mail the fly to me at the address below. I will take a picture of the fly and add it into the on-line database with all of the appropriate information. I will not include anyone's address or e-mail address unless you provide permission. Flies will be returned upon request; please indicate on the pattern sheet.

Permission of use:
All images and information on the page is copyright protected. If you are a non-profit organization or a contributor to this page, you may use up to ten fly patterns (please let me know if you wish to use more), and their images, at any given time (for news letters, web pages, pamphlets etc…). When using images from this page, the Fly Bench logo must remain on the image. Thank you for your cooperation.
